“What is something that impacted you from Seville?” Claudia : “Seeing the city especially the Alcàzar, it was a sort of a time capsule in the sense of different architectures melting together to form one building and the history that’s all around the city. The flamenco night specifically, obviously it's a Spanish dance but to have it come from Seville and see the artistry behind it and how much passion those performers put into it makes me want to put that same passion into my work.” And what @cloudzcojuangco said shows through her photos, as she managed to capture the authenticity and rawness that resides in the antiquity of Sevilla’s monuments 🇪🇸 Watch our for our post tomorrow to learn more about Claudia’s experience with us and what other wise words she’ll say about the Spanish vibrant city 💃 #PhotographersSpotlight
When asked what her role as a LCL intern , Claudia @cloudzcojuangco responded : “Be a good ambassador of where you’re coming from.Obviously we’re mostly english speakers in this group but we all come from different places. And even if you come from the US you come from different states and everything. English is a universal language many people speak and it doesn't belong to just one place, it’s something that's to be shared! If I can quote a professor of mine from LMU ‘’communication means making and sharing.’’ And that meaning is influenced by different contexts and cultures and it’s special to make connections with different people and different ages and backgrounds so that theirs and our sense of meaning is highlighted equally.”
We asked Claudia to sum up her experience in a few words and this is what she answered : “Being a part of this kind of group and family, for me as someone who loves filmmaking or just as someone who loves shooting and editing at the side and not going to film school and have a group where we all edit together and sit around a table talking about shoots and colouring, is kinda like FINDING YOUR TRIBE and that gives you a feeling of fulfillment.”
We couldn’t have said it any better! And on that note, this is Claudia’s last post from our segment (for now😏) Catch us sometime soon to learn more about our talented photographers !📸
